The unidentified driver was taken into custody for operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death, and is currently held at the Monroe County Jail. The release added that additional criminal charges against the driver are likely as the investigation proceeds.

Diane Harrington, the siblings’ aunt, started a GoFundMe to raise funds for a proper funeral and burial service. The fundraiser also mentions that the siblings’ mother and older brother are in critical condition. The GoFundMe campaign has so far raised nearly $52,000 of its $100,000 goal.

The Swan Boat Club, where the tragic event occurred, expressed its condolences in a Facebook post. The club announced that it will remain closed until further notice.
